LAST BOTTLE MARATHON

If you’ve been following along on our wine journey through our Instagram account, @TheModestCellar, you know we have been big fans of Last Bottle for a long time. In fact, we discovered Last Bottle way before we started The Modest Cellar.For those who have not ordered from Last Bottle yet, we are going to do a quick overview of their Company.
Last Bottle is a daily purveyor of wines; they offer a new bottle every single day until they sell out of their inventory. The bottles are offered at an incredible discount, anywhere from 30%- 70% off retail price. No membership necessary! Last Bottle is simply an online marketplace for wine. Simply download the Last Bottle app in the app store and allow push notifications to get alerts on the daily offering. If you get the actual last bottle, you will get a credit!

We love that Last Bottle shares a similar mission with the two of us at The Modest Cellar, we both want to share excellent wine with all wine lovers. In the app and on the website, Last Bottle offers a detailed description of the wine, and then provides even more information under the tab “nerdy details” for those interested in the nitty-gritty.

Last Bottle is located in Napa Valley and is run by wine industry folks that are so wonderful and easy-going.  They are deeply connected to the wineries, brokers, importers and distributors from all over (not just California). This allows them to source the excellent finds for excellent prices.

Beyond their daily wine finds, they host Marathons, which is where the real madness happens! The Marathons can be a mad dash when it comes to getting some of the best bottles, but that is what makes it so fun! It is an adrenaline rush to say the least! The Marathons happen 3 times a year; April, August and December (be sure to sign up for their emails so you will get notified on the day of the marathon). The Marathons are where Last Bottle does their best sales, price wise. We try to stock up during the Marathon Madness. This is also when they offer free shipping on all orders, excluding AK and HI, no matter how many bottles ordered.  Who doesn’t love free shipping?!

In the above photo, you can see the incredible discount offered (plus free shipping). Their Marathons start at 9AM PST and last all day, sometimes two full days! Each bottle is up for purchase until they sell out! You will need to keep hitting refresh to see if a new bottle is up. Some sell out incredibly quickly! It is dependent on popularity and inventory.
