OUR FAVORITE GLASSWARE

Picture

Okay, Molly here! Anyone who knows me, knows I am weirdly obsessed with glassware. I need a glass for every occasion. I recently got married and I am pretty sure I registered primarily for glasses. Estelle wine glasses, Estelle champagne glasses, Juliska wine and water glasses, Spode Christmas wine glasses and tulip glasses, Williams Sonoma fancy wine and water glasses; I mean the list goes on. We even registered for the Moose Mugs from Christmas Vacation for our Egg Nog! We are glassware crazy! My husband would say it was just me, but it’s really not. The Christmas Vacation Moose Mugs and 4 piece Tiki cup set were both his idea, so the proof is in the pudding, we are both glassware obsessed. And don’t worry, I linked the Moose Mugs and the Tiki glasses below just in case you are as obsessed as we are!

  • Set of 8 Riedel Extreme Pinot Noir Glass $119.95
    • These glasses are absolutely gorgeous. Honestly, with the heat that is Houston right now, I keep picturing myself outside with these wine glasses on my Article couches, enjoying some Pinot while my husband grills and we watch football!
  • Set of 2 Riedel Vinum XL Cabernet Sauvignon $59.00
    • These high quality crystal wine glasses are usually my go to! The Vinum series is extremely popular around the world. These glasses are perfect for everyday use; functional and aesthetically pleasing!
  • Set of 4 Riedel Extreme Cabernet Wine Glass $73.50
    • Large like the ones above, but part of the Extreme Riedel Collection. The Extreme Collection glasses have large bowls and long stems and have become extremely popular as well. I am a big fan of this collection!
  • Godinger Dublin Cocktail Shaker $22.95
    • This cocktail shaker is gorgeous. Lately, I have honestly spent way too much money on cocktail shakers. I had a wonderful one and it broke, so I have been on the hunt for a new one. This one works well while remaining aesthetically pleasing.
  • Set of 4 Godinger Old Fashioned Acrylic Glasses $24.95
    • These glasses are so pretty and I absolutely love that they are acrylic. I do not own these yet, but plan on purchasing as soon as my husband cools it with the questions like, “Where are we going to put all these glasses?”
  • Set of 4 Godinger Jax Highball $24.99
    • These are the perfect cocktail and water glasses! The color is absolutely gorgeous! Also, the Godinger brand on Amazon never lets me down!
  • Set of 4 Le Cadeaux Break Resistant Fleur Glasses $48.50
    • These glasses are absolutely gorgeous! I am obsessed. As I said above with the Godinger Old Fashioned Glasses, I will be buying these as soon as things cool down around here!
  • Set of 4 Margarita Glasses $21.49
    • Who doesn’t love a fun margarita glass?! If I am not drinking wine or an espresso martini, I am drinking tequila. Spicy blood orange margaritas are my fav!
  • Set of 6 Hand Blown Mexican Blue Rim Drinking Glasses $46.99
    • These are great margarita glasses! I absolutely love my blue rimmed glasses! I use these for ranch waters and margaritas!
  • Set of 2 Riedel Extreme Martini Glasses $49.00
    • Ah! I love a good martini, especially an espresso martini! These Riedel martini glasses did not disappoint!
  • Set of 4 Extreme Rosé/Champagne Glasses $69.00
    • I love Riedel’s extreme glassware. These Rosé/Champagne glasses are some of my absolute favorite Riedel wine glasses, second to the Extreme Pinot ones. I highly recommend getting these! They pair wonderfully with some bubbly at Christmas and Thanksgiving!
  • Set of 4 Christmas Vacation Moose Mugs $65.00
    • Okay, well these just speak for themselves. First of all, who doesn’t love Christmas Vacation? Second of all, who doesn’t want to drink their boozy egg nog  out of a moose mug?! Do not regret for one second registering for these!
  • Set of 4 Tiki Glasses $41.95
    • These tiki glasses, they look great in person. I would love to say we have used them, but we have not yet. Maybe we need to make a big batch of Piña Coladas and have some friends over ASAP!
  • Set of 4 Spode Christmas Wine Glasses $39.99
    • I just love these glasses. I love pops of Christmas! Do I want Spode plates, serving ware and wine glasses on my table at Christmas? No. But I do not mind some fun glasses! We absolutely love Christmas around here, so I am counting down the days until I get to use these!

Anyway, so now that you know how absolutely obsessed I am with glassware, be sure to share some of your favorites with me in the comments below.

Florence @osteriadellenoteca was in my top three Florence

@osteriadellenoteca was in my top three restaurants of the trip! Every single bite was so good! My favorite appetizer was the chicken liver pâté and my favorite pasta was the artichoke. This is the restaurant I shared on stories that a lot of you were interested in. Basically we ordered our meal and then we were taken by the waiter to see their wine offerings where we were given good pairing options to taste and then decide on what we wanted to pair with our meal. A wonderful experience overall! Make a reservation!

@gustapizzafirenze was my favorite pizza in Florence. We got there at 7 when they opened and there was already a line. Very quick service.

Anghiari

We rented an AirBNB in Tuscany near Anghiari for Christmas. On the 23rd, the owner, Alba, coordinated a pasta making class for us, which was so fun! On the 24th we went to the local butcher shop, Ganovelli Giuseppe, and got the most amazing stuffed duck that we roasted Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, Alba made us tortellini with bolognese for lunch and we grilled steaks from the butcher shop for dinner that evening. The house came equipped with everything needed to cook during our stay and the views were amazing! Highly recommend this AirBNB if you find yourself in southern Tuscany. DM for link.

Paris

We did a Champagne Tasting at a wine shop, @cavepetillance! It was great, every Champagne we tasted was delicious. Staff was very knowledgeable. Great selection!

My absolute favorite meal in Paris was @alea_restaurant. The pumpkin coconut curry soup was chefs kiss! This restaurant is also located in a wonderful neighborhood for exploring!

@mova.restaurant was absolutely delicious. We did the tasting menu and every dish was spot on! Here we opted for the wine pairing as well!

@restaurantpottokaparis was also incredible! I got the scallops and the razor clams!

@diggityrestaurant was amazing. The restaurant and staff have a very relaxed feel. Food was delicious and the owners dog, Biggie, is just too cute!

I was craving Asian and I stumbled upon @dongphat_paris on Google. This Vietnamese restaurant did not disappoint!
Many of you reached out and said that you were pla Many of you reached out and said that you were planning trips to Italy next year so I wanted to recap all of my favorite places with a post! (1 of 2)

I am only mentioning places that blew me away. To note, I rarely looked at a wine menu. I wanted to branch out from what I would normally choose so I usually asked the server for recommendations based on what I was ordering. I was never disappointed in quality or sticker shocked by price.

Como

Stayed @palazzoalbricciperegrini. Wow, what an amazing boutique hotel and their breakfast service was 5 stars! The chef at the hotel serves you breakfast to order on vintage china. I would definitely recommend staying here, service, food and hospitality were all top notch!

@dispensa63 in Bellagio was absolutely delicious! Some of the best onion soup I have ever had!

Venice

If you know me, you know I love natural wine so when we made it to Venice, I walked as fast as I could to @vino__vero. Their staff was amazing and their cicchetti was to die for. Told the staff what I enjoy and they took it from there! Location in Lisbon, Portugal as well!

@losteriadisantamarina was in my top three favorite restaurants of the trip. Their tasting menu was nothing short of amazing! Every dish hit the mark of excellent! The menu was also diverse, which I appreciated. We started with whipped codfish, then moved to a shrimp dish, then spaghetti chitarra with cuttlefish, then their mixed fried fish and finished with tiramisu. All of the dishes were local to Venice and their execution of each course was absolute perfection!

We stayed an extra day in Venice to try @alle_testiere. I am so glad we did. This restaurant was absolutely delicious. I’m still dreaming about the razor clams! Watch Stanley Tucci’s Venice episode to learn more about this amazing restaurant!

@bacarodebischeri blew Florence’s most well known sandwich shop out of the water! I got the spicy sandwich and it was incredible!

We stayed @thegrittipalace and what an absolute dream that was! For all my Marriott loyal friends, if you have suite night rewards and points to burn, absolutely save it for here! Wonderful bar and outdoor area!

Been awhile since we posted last but I wanted to s Been awhile since we posted last but I wanted to share this amazing winery. While I was visiting Jackson Hole & Grand Teton earlier this year, I made it a point to stop at the Jackson Hole Winery. Not only were the views and customer service spectacular but the wines were amazing as well!

Tastings are by appointment only so be sure to call ahead. In my opinion, this is a must do when in Jackson, WY!

We bought a couple bottles to go to enjoy later. The Chardonnay and Rosé were my favorite!

The winery has a great history/story so be sure to check out their website and Instagram to learn more!

Cheers! 🥂
As we enter into our favorite time of the year, we As we enter into our favorite time of the year, we wanted to share a new seasonal recipe with you all along with two delicious white wine pairings from our favorite wine regions, Germany and Bordeaux!

As you may know, food is at the heart of European culture and what we love about that is that no meal is complete without a perfectly paired glass of wine. Whether you prefer a fruit forward and crisp white like the 2020 Eva Fricke Riesling Trocken or one that is bright, balanced and refreshing like the 2020 Haut-Rian Bordeaux Blanc Sec, both will be perfect companions for your culinary journey.

We love learning about viticulture with @clinkdiff We love learning about viticulture with @clinkdifferent and are excited to share the stories of two winemakers in Bordeaux and Germany and how they are bringing new perspectives to these historical regions. When we are personally searching for new wines to try, some of the key items we focus on are the regions in which the wines are made, and the estate’s dedication to sustainability, which is how we landed on tasting the 2020 Gunderloch Jean-Baptiste Riesling Kabinett and the 2020 Claire Villars-Lurton Haut-Médoc Cérès Red Bordeaux Blend.
